Usage tips

  • Create an account before editing anything. This way everyone can tell who is editing what.
  • To practice editing pages, please add yourself to Community Portal and write a short biography page.
  • To search uploaded HTML files, go to preferences, click on Search result settings, and select the Image namespace.
  • To create a blog, hit the "my talk" link at the top of the page, then hit the "+" button next to the edit tab to add a new entry.
  • Do not upload files with short names! You are polluting the namespace by doing that, because that short name can be used only once. So it should be FreedomEV-proto-ph3.jpg rather than just freedomev.jpg.
  • Avoid uploading MS Word documents, because not everyone can read them. Please print them to PDF first. Or better yet, just edit right on the wiki and don't create things in MS Word in the first place. This is an open-source project, so let's use tools compatible with the open-source philosophy as much as possible.

Editing Summary

You may edit any page by clicking on the tab marked "Edit" at the top of the page. When you have finished, hit the "Show preview" button to see how it will look. When you are satisfied, hit the "Save page" button.
